Lindell Properties, headed by former Tampa automobile retailer, Carl Lindell Jr., wants the city to rezone 43 acres near Tampa International airport to allow up to 1,100 condominium units, 100,000 square feet of retail, 250 hotel rooms and 650,000 square feet of offices. The triangular property is bordered by Memorial Highway, Independence Parkway and George Road. Lindell’s company bought the land last year from JPMorgan Chase. The zoning request heads to the city council in October.
